Thanks to the compact shadow design, the rear derailleur sits closer to the frame. This slim, low-profile design not only looks good, but also protects the rear derailleur from damage in the event of a fall.For optimal switching performance with all Shimano cassettes, 2 versions of the rear derailleur have been developed.
